Kathleen Chrisman has been making fiber art for over thirty years. Some of her favorite mediums are beads, felting, free motion embroidery and hand embroidery stitching. She often combines mediums on her favorite fabircs: silk and cotton batiks.

Kathleen discovered beading about fifteen years ago and can't seem to make anything without adding beads to it. Most of her new work incorporates beads into the finished piece. She says she canít help it, beads are addicting!

She has also discovered how much fun it is to combine decorative machine stitches to enhance her art. Because of this fondness for free motion embroidery Kathleen has placed twice in the Sulky Challenge doll category. She won an Honorable Mention in 2000 and Second Place Professional in 2005.
She is the founder and Executive Editor of Dolls United Interactive Magazine, a unique CD Rom magazine for doll makers. Kathleen often contributed articles to Dolls United. She has also submitted techniques and patterns to Soft Dolls and Animals magazine.

She is now teaching cloth doll, bead, needle felting, jewelry, purse and wearable art classes locally and across the country. Please use the contact page to enquire about having Kathleen teach for your group or guild.
